Linkedin Learning provides a great opportunity for you to learn the required skills to boost your career. Either you are looking to land your dream job or improve on your capabilities and competencies to enhance your career and position yourself for higher roles and pay.
LinkedIn Learning is an American massive open online course website offering video courses taught by industry experts in software, creative, and business skills. It is a subsidiary of LinkedIn. It was founded in 1995 by Lynda Weinman as Lynda.com before being acquired by LinkedIn in 2015.
An online educational platform that helps you discover and develop business, technology-related, and creative skills through expert-led course videos.
With more than 5,000 courses and personalized recommendations, you can discover, complete, and track courses related to your field and interests. You can also choose to add these courses and related skills to your LinkedIn profile once you’ve completed them.
Completing and adding your certificates to your profile is one of the sure ways to promote yourself and attract more career opportunities.
Get started with your 1-month free LinkedIn Learning to invest in yourself and develop in-demand skills. Sometimes, you don’t need money to invest in yourself, what you need is time. And time is just what you need to take this advantage. You can select either basic package or premium and i advise you go for premium as this would give you extra access to LinkedIn premium services both on Linkedin professional networking and LinkedIn Learning platforms.
Again, the 1-month learning is FREE, make sure to cancel your trial before last day so that you won’t be charged, as it would automatically begin a new paid month/year subscription
How You Can Maximize the LinkedIn Learning opportunity:
To be able to fully optimize the LinkedIn Learning opportunity you need to plan. You must know the courses you want to take or skills you want to develop. You should be clear about how you would take the courses, what time of the day and even why you want to take the courses.
During my own free trial period, I took and completed 3 courses within those 30 days. I put my commute or transit time to and from work or from anywhere to good use by taking the courses while im in traffic.
I also take the courses very early in the morning, during breaks and sometimes at night. I planned it, even with a tight schedule, so I believe it is something you can do as well.
As a sales associate at that time, I took courses that would better increase my competencies, widen my horizon and position me for better opportunities and enhance my career.
These are the courses I took during my free trial period:
- Key Account Management
- Advanced Business Development
- Customer Success
Those 3 courses changed my entire career and made me highly competitive. I had carefully selected them based on the competencies in demand in my field.
Check the skills and competencies that are in demand in your field, too and take the courses.
Whether you have little or no resources, or even if you have adequate funds to enroll in programs, LinkedIn Learning offers great courses and certifications and you can add them straight to your Linkedin profile upon completion.
